One iPad runs the whole school day — bells, music and PA announcements.

Scheduled to the minute. Controlled from any staff iPhone. No cloud, no server, no ongoing IT work.

School Bell & Music Scheduler turns an iPad plugged into your PA amplifier into a complete, always-on bell system. Set the weekly timetable once, add music from the school's own files or Apple Music, and make announcements from anywhere on campus.

Everything a school needs

Simple on the outside. Complete underneath.

Two apps that find each other automatically on the school's Wi-Fi: the iPad lives with the amplifier and does all the playing; staff iPhones are remotes.

Bells that never miss

The weekly timetable rings every bell on time, every day — recess, lunch, home time, and a different Friday if you need one. One-off changes touch one date only.

Music, two ways

Play the school's own music files fully offline, or connect the school's Apple Music subscription and schedule any playlist — morning music, lunch, end of day.

Announcements from anywhere

Type a message on an iPhone and the announcer voice reads it over the PA — or record in your own voice and play it live with an attention chime.

Holiday calendar

Tap dates on a month grid and the whole day stays silent. The display shows the school is closed — no editing the timetable and putting it back.

Locked-down kiosk

A PIN screen lock keeps the iPad on the clock display so nobody fiddles with the bells — and it pairs with Apple's Guided Access for a fully sealed appliance.

Runs on your network

No cloud account, no server, nothing to break when the internet drops. Bells, local music and announcements all keep working offline.

On the iPad

A school display when idle, a control desk when touched

Leave the iPad in the rack or on the office wall. After a minute untouched it becomes the school display — your school's name in lights above a big, elegant clock. Any tap brings back the controls.

Installation

Installed in minutes — one lead and it's done

The iPad plugs into the PA amplifier's line input, the same as any audio source. No network changes, no software on the amplifier.

8:45 YOUR SCHOOL iPad station in the comms rack, always charging 3.5 mm aux lead LINE IN PA amplifier School speakers
iPads with a headphone jack (iPad 9th gen and earlier)

One 3.5 mm aux lead to the amplifier's line input. The charging port stays free for the normal wall charger.

iPads with USB-C only

Add a USB-C to 3.5 mm audio adapter (about $20 — we suggest the UGREEN one; for permanent installs choose the variant with a charging pass-through port so the iPad charges 24/7).

Which iPads work?

Anything on iPadOS 16 or newer: the standard iPad from 2017 onward, iPad mini/Air from 2019, and every iPad Pro. A second-hand 2017 iPad does the job perfectly.

Questions schools ask

FAQ

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Bells, the school's own music files, announcements and the iPhone remote all run entirely on your local network. Only Apple Music streaming needs an internet connection.

We have two campuses with two iPads — can one phone control both?

Yes. The Remote app remembers every station you pair with and switches between them in one tap — pairing codes are remembered per station.

What happens during school holidays?

Tap the dates on the holiday calendar once and those days stay completely silent. The timetable itself is untouched, so there's nothing to set back up.

Can anyone mess with the bells?

No. The iPad can be PIN-locked to the clock display, phone access requires the station's pairing code, and Apple's Guided Access can seal the device completely.

What data do you collect?

None. There are no accounts and no cloud — your schedules, recordings and settings stay on your own devices. See the privacy policy.

Can we try it properly before paying?

Every download includes a 3-day full-featured trial. Schools that want longer to evaluate can email us for an extended free-trial code — no payment details needed.
